Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

March 26--6:42 a.m. A game agent requested assistance after being locked out of a vehicle. 12:13 p.m. A caller reported a woman slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle on SR 4. A deputy responded and was unable to locate the woman or the car. 1:19 p.m. An Angle Street resident reported that a satellite company had delivered a modem and router three days previously. The delivery was left at a side door and the caller believed it had been stolen. 3:46 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Columbia Street address to aid an 84-year-old woman who had an allergic reaction to a medication. 9:47 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded to a suspected brush fire on SR4 near the high school.

March 27--12:01 p.m. A Fairgrounds Road resident reported that a relative had stolen parts from a vehicle and was heading to Longview. 12:18 p.m. A Messinger Hill Drive resident reported the theft of prescription pain medication. 1:05 p.m. A deputy responded to a Country Court Lane residence on a search warrant. One person was taken into custody. 6:51 p.m. A Hillcrest Drive resident reported a disturbance involving a juvenile. 9:29 p.m. A caller reported that a man was standing on the fog line of the westbound lane of SR4 near the Nassa Point motel and was causing a traffic hazard. A deputy investigated and found that the man had travelled all the way to Mill Creek, at which point the deputy was unable to locate him.

March 29--5:22 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an East Birnie Slough residence to aid a 49-year-old female who was dizzy and sick. 8:22 a.m. A caller reported a theft in the Crown Camp area, involving two people on a quad bike who crossed over a creek to take the caller's camera. 1:02 p.m. A caller reported the theft of a wire feed welder from a shop on SR 409 two to three months previously. 2:01 p.m. A caller from the KM Transfer Station reported a suspected burglary, after finding a door had been forced open. Nothing was missing. 3:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an SR 4 East residence to aid an 81-year-old male having a possible stroke. 5:44 p.m. A Salmon Creek Road resident reported a violation of a protection order by an intoxicated female. 7:02 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an 85-year-old male who was dizzy and vomiting.

March 30--1:30 p.m. A deputy responded to an Elochoman Valley address to run a Vehicle Identification Number check on an abandoned vehicle. 3:46 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a West Cape Horn Road residence to aid a 16-year-old female who had taken a possible overdose. 5:26 p.m. A deputy stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Beaver Creek and Elochoman Valley roads. One person was taken into custody.

March 31--12:04 p.m. A caller reported rocks and mud across both lanes on SR 4 at Mill Creek. 5:00 p.m. A Hill Drive resident reported the theft of his daughter's mountain bike. The bike was later located in the front yard of a 3rd Street residence and returned to the owner.

April 1--11:30 a.m. District 4 firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Oak Point Road. The reporting caller requested a deputy to get statements and names, however no criminal activity was suspected and so the deputy stated he would follow up, but would not be taking statements. 10:51 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Columbia Street address to aid a 48-year-old male with heart problems.
