Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

April 9--3:08 p.m. A caller reported receiving multiple threatening phone calls. 7:50 p.m. A caller reported hitting a parked car on 2nd Street. 9:38 p.m. An Una Street resident reported she and her children were being harassed by her ex-husband.

April 10--7:39 a.m. A West SR 4 resident reported a case of child abuse. 7:50 a.m. A caller from the Ferry Wahkiakum reported it was out of service due to a log in its propeller. 10:51 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a 2nd Street address to aid an elderly man who was not feeling well. 1:58 p.m. A South Welcome Slough Road resident reported receiving a phone call from a telemarketer he believed to be a scam. 10:45 p.m. The Grays River Fire Department responded to a possible chimney fire at a Barr Road address.

April 11--9:17 a.m. A caller reported that a fisherman was threatening other fishermen on Puget Island. 3:55 p.m. A West SR 4 resident reported his girlfriend was yelling and screaming at him.

April 12--12:16 a.m. A 13-year-old boy reported hearing footsteps at a West Sunny Sands residence. He reported that a suspect wearing all black had tried to open the back door. 4:05 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an East SR 4 residence to aid a man who could not get out of bed or walk. 8:10 p.m. An Altoona-Pillar Rock Road resident reported finding an upturned bucket with two drink cans underneath it next to her bedroom window. 10:30 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Spring Street residence to aid a 64-year-old woman who was lightheaded and weak.

April 13--9:20 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 75-year-old Elochoman Valley Road resident who had collapsed. 9:32 a.m. A caller reported that he had returned to a 3rd Street residence to clean up after moving out and had found that someone had broken into the property and stayed in a bedroom. Neighbors reported seeing two teenage boys in the vicinity. 10:52 a.m. A Randal Road resident reported being harassed whilst trying to collect a debt of services. 12:03 p.m. A Monroe Drive resident reported receiving a fraudulent phone call claiming her granddaughter was in jail in Peru. 1:34 p.m. A caller reported a blue van had rolled over on SR 4 after the accelerator had become stuck and the driver had been unable to stop. Deputies, the Cathlamet ambulance, a District #4 fire crew and State Patrol all responded. 4:56 p.m. Deputies, District #4 and Cathlamet fire crews responded to a fiberglass ski boat that was on fire outside the Duck Inn. 7:07 p.m. Deputies arrested two juveniles for the attempted burglary of an empty 3rd Street residence.

April 14--The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Messinger Hill Drive residence to aid a 91-year-old woman who was having pain in her arms, abdomen and legs. 6:18 p.m. A deputy stopped a vehicle that had travelled past the "Road Closed" sign on Steamboat Slough Road. 9:53 p.m. A caller reported a possible domestic violence situation at a local motel. A deputy responded and took two people into custody.

April 15--4:24 a.m. A newspaper delivery person reported that the doors of a Main Street business were propped open, lights were on and a screwdriver was sitting on a chair in the office. A deputy responded and secured the building. 4:23 p.m. Deputies responded to aid a State Patrol officer with a traffic stop. Two people were brought to the county jail, cited and released.

April 16--7:03 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a South Welcome Slough Road residence to aid a 54-year-old male who had been burned over a large part of his body.
