From Wahkiakum Coach Marie Riley: "This week we traveled out to White Pass to run at Cascade Peeks RV Park. They describe the course as 'fast and flat.' For Shona Heywood it was just that. She had a goal for this meet to beat her rival from Morton/White Pass, Larkin Farrish. It came down to a finish line sprint, and Shona had a litttle more left in her than Larkin did. It was a great race. Mya Kirzy finished fourth, but we didn't receive any results or times so I'm not sure what the other girls accomplished or how they did as a team. There were 85 boys in the HS race."
