Silver Linings, Antiques, Vintage & Wares Opens this Friday!

This Friday, April 26 marks the Grand Opening of the newest business on Main Street, Silver Linings, Antiques & Wares. Located at 90 Main Street, in Cathlamet, the official ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow. Spring Salad Luncheon at Naselle Lutheran Church

The Naselle Lutheran Church is proud to host the “Spring Salad Luncheon” this Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is a fundraiser with all the funds being used to support church mission work. On offer will be salads, baked goods, plants, crafts, quilts and more. A suggested donation of $7 is requested.

KMUN presents “Party like its 1983”

Grab your rainbow suspenders and prepare to rock as KMUN presents their new event “Party Like its 1983.” Celebrating 30 years of music, join Retta Christie, Willapa Hills and Pagan Pancakes at the Astoria Moose Lodge this Saturday, April 27 from 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to all ages. Community Garden Hosts Plant Sale at Erickson Park

The Community Garden will be holding a plant sale this Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Erickson Park in Cathlamet. Community Garden members will be on hand to offer gardening advice.

1st Annual Break the Silence Stop the Shame 5k

This Sunday marks the 1st Annual Break the Silence Stop the Shame 5K charity run/walk taking place in Cathlamet. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the run/walk kicking off at 9 a.m. at the Elochoman Slough Marina. Registration is $10 with all proceeds donated to the abuse shelters in Wahkiakum. 4th Annual “A Day in the Life” Photo Competition

Each year the Eagle, Team Electronics and the Chamber of Commerce sponsor a photographic competition open to all Wahkiakum & Naselle residents. There are three divisions for entrants – (1) Children ages 0-7 (2) Youth ages 8-18 and (3) Adults 18 and over. The photo must be taken on the 1st of May and be within the Wahkiakum & Naselle area. All entries must be turned into the Eagle with an entry form by May 10. Each division will have a winner who will receive a $50 prize. Sassy’s Says Goodbye with a Cinco de Mayo Celebration!

Next week marks the closure of Sassy’s Chocolates. To celebrate their final days of business Sassy’s will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo Party on their last day, May 4. All store items are on sale including their kitchen equipment. To order flowers or candies for Mother’s Day all orders must be placed by May 4. The Cinco de Mayo celebration will kick off at 10 a.m. and run through to 4 p.m. For more information stop in at 71 Main Street in Cathlamet.

Diner on Main Street Mother’s Day Dinner

Make Mother’s Day easy this year and take your mother to the special Mother’s Day dinner served at the Diner on Main. Starting at noon on Sunday, May 12, each mother will be treated to a warm welcome and a flower. For more information call the Diner on Main at 360-795-0591.

Bank of the Pacific starts construction on new branch in Warrenton, OR

This week marked the start of the new construction of the Bank of the Pacific Branch in Warrenton, OR. The foundation has been poured with the framing scheduled to begin soon. The project is scheduled to finish in late summer with the new Branch opening in October 2013. For more information please contact your local Bank of the Pacific branch.
