A large crowd gathered last Wednesday morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate Wahkiakum PUD’s new substation on Jacobson Road. Representatives from Bonneville Power Administration, PUD contract engineering firm Brown & Kysar, the Town of Cathlamet, Wahkiakum County, and Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce were in attendance, as were many PUD employees. PUD Manager Dave Tramblie commented that the project had taken five years of planning and partnerships with the groups in attendance.
