REQUEST FOR SERVICES

WAHKIAKUM COUNTY

CATHLAMET, WASHINGTON

Wahkiakum County is seeking a qualified person or person(s) to provide Vessel Inspection and Owner Representative services in Freeland, Washington. Duties to include: vessel inspection, documentation of subcontractor activities, review of welding, paint application, fastenings, and general fitting of vessel components for adherence to quality standards consistent with plans and specifications, and standards of the ship building industry. Completion of vessel inspection reports, photographic documentation, maintaining records of equipment testing, review project pay quantity estimates, review and maintain material certifications, perform wage rate interviews, and other inspection duties as may be required by the WSDOT Construction Manual or project specifications. This may include dock and sea trials of the vessel.

Interested person shall submit their qualifications and all other pertinent documentation no later than Monday, January 27, 2014 to the Wahkiakum County Public Works office, PO Box 97, 64 Main Street, Cathlamet, WA 98612. Contact 360-795-3301 for additional information.

The County of Wahkiakum in accordance with Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or gender, in consideration for an award.

Wahkiakum County reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive informality, and to accept the submittal deemed to be in the best interest of Wahkiakum County.
