REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS-

PROPOSAL (RFQ/P)

TOWN FORESTER

Pursuant to Council Resolution 310-13 and Cathlamet Municipal Code Section 2.060.020.3, the Town of Cathlamet, Washington is requesting Statements of Qualifications and cost proposals (RFQ/P) from experienced Foresters to assist the Town in planning and implementing the management of Town-owned timberlands in Wahkiakum County. The Town desires to contract with a Forester for a two-year period. Ideal Forester qualification statements will demonstrate: detailed knowledge of Wahkiakum County forestry issues; experience in logging and timber harvesting in terrain and with tree species found in Wahkiakum County; successful negotiation of favorable timber sales contracts between small, public timberland owners, loggers, and timber processing mills; and credibility with peer Foresters, logging companies, and other forestry professionals. References are desired. Responses to this RFQ shall be written, dated, and signed by the actual persons seeking a contract. Responses must be received no later than Noon, Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Town Hall office at 102 Main Street, Cathlamet, WA 98612, attention Kerrie McNally. A copy of the proposed work statement and contract terms may be obtained from Town Hall, or by calling (360) 795-3203. Electronic or facsimile submissions will be considered, but it is the responsibility of submitters to ensure that their documents are actually received by the deadline. The Town reserves the right to determine the most responsive submission in its sole judgment, and to reject all submissions if none are deemed sufficiently responsive.
