The Cathlamet Public Library will reopen on Saturday, February 22. The Open House Celebration, from 2-4 p.m., will rededicate the newly remodeled library. The library was moved to a temporary location last summer so that work could begin at the City Hall location. Librarian Carol Blix and library volunteers have put in many hours in preparation for the opening of the new space.

Refreshments will be served as well as drawings for door prizes. Longtime former Librarian Noreen Holten will be honored with the dedication of the children’s area named for her. Library volunteers will be recognized and a new computerized circulation system will be introduced.

Blix said there will be new materials available for check out as well as new services such as ebooks, and IT Academy.
