Voluntary Shoreline Advisory

Committee Members Wanted

Wahkiakum County and the Town of Cathlamet are commencing their Shoreline Management Program (SMP) update. Volunteers are needed to fill vacant positions on the Shoreline Advisory Committee (SAC) to give input and review products throughout the SMP update process. It is anticipated that SAC members will be required to commit to being on the SAC for the duration of the SMP update process (approximately 3 years). Wahkiakum County is looking for a diverse group of applicants potentially affected by and/or interested in the SMP update process. The 10 member committee will have a number of citizen, business, interest group, tribal, and agency stakeholders.

Interested parties can find committee appointment information, responsibilities and applications on the website. Applications on the website should be printed off, filled out and emailed, faxed or sent to the address below. All applications should be submitted to the Wahkiakum County Building and Planning Office (3rd Floor)byThursday, July 3, 2014.
