Judith Anne Curtis

 


Judith Anne (Judy) was the youngest born to Anna Mae and Lesly Wilson on November 20, 1936 in Los Angeles, California. Judy succumbed to cancer and passed March 3, 2015 in Longview, Washington.

Judy’s parents passed prior to her sister Virginia Woolson (Harry predeceased) and brother Robert Wilson (Anita predeceased).

Judy met her husband Robert Curtis at the Los Angeles Times where they both worked. They retired and moved to Cathlamet in 1993. Bob passed in 2000.

Judy is survived by her nephews Robert (Kathy) Woolson, Gerald (Vita predeceased) Woolson, Michael (Jane) Wilson, Steve Wilson and nieces Dianne (Frank) LoBianco and Holly Eggan. Judy had six great nieces and five great nephews and an abundance of nieces and nephews generated by these family members.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Thursday, April 23, 5 p.m., at the Tsuga Gallery, 70 Main Street, Cathlamet, Washington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tsuga Gallery.

I have many fond memories of Judy and her husband, Bob. I recall Judy being a very kind and loving individual. One of my favorite trips I took, was visiting Judy and Bob many years ago, at their home in Cathlamet, we’re we spent a good deal of time in Bob’s boat on the Columbia River, followed by evenings listening to stories of my Dad and Bob’s adventures growing up together.
