The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Greetings from the fair office. Soon the fairgrounds will be busy getting ready for the annual Dollars for Scholars. I will be having a clean up day on May 23 from 10 a.m. till noon. At noon we will have a BBQ. I will have a list of projects to be done and any one wishing to volunteer time should come on down to the fairgrounds.

There are several things scheduled to take place at the fairgrounds this summer. In June we will have a flea market on the 6th, and on the 27th will be the first of a three part Silver Buckle Series. In July we will have a flea market on the 11th and the second part of the Silver Buckle Series will be on the 25th.

Any one wishing to be a vendor at the fair this year should call the office and leave a message. Or if you would like to be an entertainer at the fair call the office as well. I promise I will get back to you.

The fair grounds is getting a face lift. I would like to thank all the volunteers for the hard work they have been putting in. We know when it’s done it will be beautiful.

Soon we will be looking for gate workers so mark your calendar for the fair dates and maybe volunteer a couple hours.
