Michael A. Rose

 

Michael Aaron Rose, 69, of Cathlamet, died May 25, 2016 in Nevada. He was born in Cathlamet, September 6, 1946 to George and Myrtle Rose.

Mike was a logger in the Cathlamet area for 27 years before moving to Winnemucca, Nev., where he drove a haul pack truck.

He eventually retired and moved back to Cathlamet. Mike loved to sing karaoke and in his younger days played in a band called The County Line. His favorite time of the year was Fourth of July and the Rose Family Reunion, where he spent endless hours visiting with family. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ronda; children Nolan Rose and Erin Gabriel, both of Winnemucca and Brian Rose of Kapolei, Hawaii; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Rose of Rosburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Pat, David and Denzel Rose, all of Cathlamet.

A celebration of life service is planned for July 2, 1 p.m. at 1109 Elochoman Valley Rd., Cathlamet. Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair and there will be a barbecue.
