Star Program experiencing low response so far this season

November 17, 2016

Volunteers for the Star Program report that they are experiencing a low response from the public so far and hope that citizens will step up to help those in need.

They will close the acceptance of applications on November 21. Those needing assistance with providing Christmas gifts for their children, through the age of 17 are urged to contact the Star Program at 360-431-5232. All calls will be handled discreetly. All applications need to be turned in by Monday, November 21.

Trees will be up at local businesses from November 21 to December 15.

Gifts will be ready for pick up by the families from December 19-23. Families will be contacted when the gifts are ready.

The trees will be in Bank of the Cascades, Bank of the Pacific, Cathlamet Pharmacy, Waterway Espresso, The Duck Inn, and Skamokawa Store.

Gifts may be returned to the place where the star was picked up.

Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated. Donations may be turned in at either bank in Cathlamet or mail them to Star Program, P.O. Box 276, Cathlamet, WA 98612.
