If you haven’t already signed up, there is still time. Bring those pumped up veins and join in the fun in the Valley Bible Church social hall from noon to 6 p.m. Your life giving gift will definitely help at least one life and possibly more. For more information or to make an appointment please contact Susan Burkhalter or the Red Cross.

Only a couple more weeks until the annual Crab and Oyster Feed, sponsored by the American Legion Deep River Post #111, being held on January 28 beginning at 6 p.m. Only 200 tickets will be sold at the price of $28 per person. This event is always a sell out, so if you plan to attend, get your tickets now.

The dinner menu includes crab, oysters, baked beans, garlic bread, cole slaw and potato salad. Topping of the evening are their raffle and dance. Live music will be provided by the King Brothers, and if you only wish to attend the dance, the entry fee is $5 beginning at 9 p.m. Come join the fun, the food and know that you are supporting a terrific local organization. Get your tickets by calling Ken Elliot at 465-2274, Nick Nikkila at 465-2595 or Dale Rose at 465-2234.

I’m sure many of you noticed that the Grays River Cafe was closed last weekend for the winter break but once again it will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The food is delicious and you will be served by some delightful people.

The Rosburg Wednesday Senior Lunch Bunch meets in the Rosburg Hall each week for a delicious home cooked meal prepared and served by Pat Potter and her volunteers.

On Thursdays, a senior meal is also served at the above location and lunch is served on both days at noon.

Happy Birthday to Michelle Condon, Lydia Forbes, Vickie Wirkkala, Linda Strong, Paul W. Bjornsgard, Alder Hendrickson and Howard Nelson. Wishing each of you a perfect day.

Happy Anniversary to Evert and Dorothy Smith. Wishing you many more celebrations together.
