The Cathlamet Fire Department will hold an open house next Sunday, 2:30 p.m., to dedicate its new fire truck.

Chief Vernon Barton said the public is invited, including men or women who might want to learn more about becoming volunteer fire fighters.

All departments in the county are looking for new members, he added.

The fire hall is located at the intersection of Una and 2nd streets in Cathlamet near the Elochoman Slough Marina.
