The Naselle-Grays River Valley School District Board of Directors met for its monthly meeting August 21 in the Middle School Commons.

In personnel matters, the board approved the tentative hire of Kathryn Green, pending background check and the hire of middle school coaches, Aldrich Smith and Russell Hickman.

A contract was approved for school nursing services through Pacific County.

Both the board and the superintendent adopted working goals for the 2018-19 school year.

A first read was conducted on Policy #6000, Program Planning, Budget Preparation, Adoption and Implementation.

Superintendent Nelson provided an overview of the current financial status of the District.

The next school board meeting will be September 18 at the Middle Commons, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
