Youth injured in accident

A 10-year-old boy remains hospitalized following a one car, roll-over traffic accident August 3, 4:07 p.m.

Hank Wilson, age 10, was a passenger in a 2006 Ford pickup driven by his mother, Nicole Wilson, that went off SR 4 on KM Mountain and rolled.

Hank Wilson sustained injuries to the head and was airlifted to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver where he remains in serious but stable condition, according to family Facebook posts.

Nicole Wilson also sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. John Medical Center in Longview.

Both were wearing seatbelts.

According to the Washington State Patrol investigation, the vehicle was westbound on SR 4 at Milepost 24.9 when it went on the westbound shoulder, over corrected to the left across the centerline and then back to the westbound shoulder. The vehicle rotated, entered the westbound embankment and rolled.
