Beginning November 12 and continuing over the next three months during our Tuesday evening meetings, the Wahkiakum County Amateur Radio Club will host a series of action trainings on emergency preparedness.

The first session will cover batteries, the second will cover solar panels, the third will cover charge controllers, and the fourth will cover food and water and clothing and sanitation.

Recently we added an emergency comms station at the Grays River Fire Hall and a remotely-controlled generator to our Nicolai Mountain repeater. These will help emergency communications when "all the lights go out."

Our evening meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at the River Street meeting room from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. We also meet every Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the River Street meeting room. All are welcome at any of our meetings.
