Cathlamet municipal officials will hold a celebration of the 115th anniversary of the incorporation of the town outside Town Hall, 375 2nd St., Cathlamet, at noon on Friday.

A proclamation in honor of the occasion will be read, and the new Cathlamet Town Flag will be raised.

Cathlamet voters approved incorporation on February 4, 1907; the first town council meeting was held February 11, 1907, and the town’s incorporation was subsequently notarized and filed on February 18, 1907, the date traditionally recognized as Cathlamet’s birthday.

Town council members, elected officials, residents and interested citizens and neighbors are invited to join in the celebration, and (optional) are invited to wear garb suitable to the early 1900’s in honor of the occasion.
