The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Wahkiakum PUD has received a clean, unmarked audit of its accountability audit and of its financial statements from the Office of the Washington State Auditor (SAO). A report from the SAO has revealed that the examination of the PUD’s financial statements for the period of Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2022 resulted in a clean, unmarked audit. Commissioner Dennis Reid, General Manager Dan Kay, and Auditor Erin Wilson attended the SAO exit conference. The SAO audit team reported that they found no issues with district processes, no instances of non-compliance, no material misstatements, and no instances where internal controls were circumvented. Afterward, Commissioner Reid expressed his appreciation to the staff for their efforts resulting in clean audits.
