July 21 1:13 a.m. A Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for shortness of breath and chest pain. 7:05 a.m. A driver on SR4 called to report an individual pushing a shopping cart along the side of SR4 near Maple Ridge Road. 8:02 a.m. A Rosburg resident called to report that they heard a loud boom, “like a cannon,” followed by a power outage on Raistakka Road. 1:37 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that their cat had been missing for several days from Jacobsen Road. 2:55 p.m. A caller reported a pedestrian on w SR4 who was walking on the wrong side of the road near KM mountain. 8:02 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that an unknown individual approached them and their spouse, took photos of their vehicle, and accused the resident of almost hitting them with their car previously. The resident said they have now received harassing comments and threats from the same individual on Facebook.
July 22 8:31 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies went out to investigate reports of damage done to a vacant Elochoman Valley property. 9:17 a.m. A driver called to complain that a large vehicle with a metal trailer was blocking the Roadway on Elochoman Valley Road near Monroe Drive. 2:44 p.m. A Driver on 2nd Street in Cathlamet called to report that their parked vehicle was hit while they were away from it and could not find the other driver. No injures were reported.
July 23 3:02 p.m. Puget Island Fire Department responded to extinguish a brush fire on S Welcome Slough Road. 3:18 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report their blue and white striped wallet missing, last seen near Graggs General Store.
July 24 9:58 a.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that they had been seeing a light on at the abandoned nursing home the past couple of nights. 11:59 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to transport a boater to the hospital due to a back injury. 12:33 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to transport an elderly resident who was experiencing complications from diabetes to the hospital. 1:04 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies performed a welfare check on a Cathlamet resident whose family member had not heard from them in five days. Deputies made contact with the resident, who was ok, but didn’t have a phone at the moment. 4:09 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident who was sick was transported to the hospital. 8:38 p.m. A caller reported an erratic driver on SR4 near River Ridge Road who they suspected to be intoxicated, as the vehicle was going at a slow rate of speed and was having difficulty staying in the lane. 11:33 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies arrested the driver from the previous call.
July 25 12:47 p.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was experiencing severe back pain. 4:09 p.m. An elderly Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for chest pain. 5:01 p.m. A driver on SR4 called to report an erratic individual standing on the fog line, acting strangely near Graggs General Store. 5:19 p.m. A caller reported a downed tree blocking both lanes on SR4 near County Line Park. 5:59 p.m. Sheriff deputies brought gas to a driver who ran out on SR4 near Nassa Point.
July 26 1:34 p.m. A Naselle resident called to complain that their neighbor was driving in the neighborhood on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed and that they do this regularly on the weekends. 4:58 p.m. A concerned citizen called to report an erratic driver on Main Street who was possibly driving under the influence. 7:14 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report an unknown individual on their neighbor’s property who was not home at the time of the call. 7:24 p.m. A driver on SR4 called to report an erratic driver who was swerving and going at a high rate of speed near County Line Park. 2:04 p.m. A Rosburg resident called to report that they heard shouting and a loud boom from their neighbor's property. Deputies spoke with the property owner, who said that a guest who was asked to leave set off fireworks before going. 10:50 a.m. A Rosburg resident called to report an erratic driver going on Barr Road. 3:01 p.m. A concerned citizen at the Elochoman Marina reported a disoriented individual who seemed lost and confused. Deputies assisted them with getting back to their family. 3:31 p.m. Deputies discovered an abandoned vehicle that looked like it had been pushed and not driven into the ditch alongside Beaver Creek Road. There was an unattended dog inside the vehicle. Cowlitz Animal Control was contacted for the animal, and an individual was arrested for drug paraphernalia.
July 27 4:14 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that they had seen a vehicle drive by hauling a boat and that there were children in the boat, headed towards the boat launch. 5:20 p.m. A concerned citizen called to report that someone had what looked to be a red can pouring something on the side of SR4 near Greenslade Road.
