Bunker Hill Cemetery Tour takes place Sept. 27

The Stella Historical Society, Cowlitz County Historical Museum and the Bunker Hill Cemetery Association invite you to attend a fundraiser event where history breathes beneath your feet and names carved in stone find their voices once more. Those stories are ready to be heard.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, Bunker Hill Cemetery tours will begin at 1 p.m. and depart every 20 minutes. The last tour departs at 3 p.m. Each tour lasts approximately one hour. The suggested donation is $5 per person.

Online registration is encouraged to choose your tour departure time. Registration ends on Friday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. Please arrive on time. Visit eventbrite.com and search for "Bunker Hill Cemetery Tour" in Longview, Wash.

The tour is recommended for ages 10 and up. Upon arrival at the cemetery, please look for the ticket counter. The cemetery grounds are somewhat uneven, so comfortable walking shoes, canes or walkers are encouraged. Seating is also available.

The Bunker Hill Cemetery is located at 350 Bunker Hill Rd. To arrive head east on Ocean Beach Hwy (SR4) and turn onto Bunker Hill Rd.
