Wine tasting and auction comes to River Rat

Friends of Skamokawa is celebrating its 35th auction fundraiser. “A Fall Wine Tasting & Auction” will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the River Rat Bar on Broadway St. in Cathlamet. This will be a gala evening of fun, friends and spirited bidding. There will be wines to sample and appetizers from our local restaurants. The deck will be lined with silent and live auction donations. Items included are home décor, art, gift baskets, business certificates, dining, weekend getaways, wood crafts, ceramics, wine, and more. Brian McClain will be our live auctioneer. Proceeds from this auction help fund maintenance and operation of the River Life Interpretive Center at Redmen Hall/Central Schoolhouse. The center celebrates 138 years this year.

Pre-sale tickets only for the event. Tickets are available for $30 each at The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce, The River Rat Tap Bar, Skamokawa Store and Redmen Hall.
