Marine Corps celebrates 250th birthday

On Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Astoria Golf and Country Club (33445 Sunset Beach Lane, Warrenton, Ore.), a ball will be held to celebrate 250 years of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). Beginning at 5 p.m. is a no-host bar and social hour. A ceremony will be held at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Choices for meals will be prime rib, chicken, or salmon. The cost of the dinner is $50 per plate. Proceeds from the ball will go to community service. For those interested in attending, please RSVP no later than Saturday, Oct. 25.
