Library offering new perks

Westend delivery provides top-10 Libby books

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 20, the weekly Westend-Cathlamet Library delivery service will be providing the top-10 Libby books at each delivery. This means you can now arrive at the Thursday delivery site, review the top-10 Libby books available, and check-out whatever book you are interested in. You can do all this without needing to place the book on hold or pre-ordering in advance.

As a (cookie) reminder, any library member who arrives at the Thursday delivery and picks-up a book, DVD, or cultural pass will receive two chocolate chip cookies from The Cottage Bread and Breakfast in Cathlamet. The Westend-Cathlamet Library delivery service is every Thursday from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Rosburg/Raistakka Fire station located at 4631 SR 4, Rosburg. Please note delivery will be paused for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.

Cathlamet Public Library is happy to announce and provide another new free pass for library card holders. The Oregon State Parks pass is now available for checkout. This day-use pass may be checked out for up to one week and allows for free parking for one vehicle at any Oregon State Park that charges a parking fee. Each pass is good for two adults from the same household, along with their children or grandchildren under the age of 18. We also have two Discover passes available for library card holders to check-out. This provides free admission to visit millions of acres of state recreation lands in Washington. Each pass may be used for motor vehicle access to lands managed by Washington State Parks, Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, and any area that requires a Discover pass. Additionally, we have two Clatsop County Historical Society Multi-use passes for library card holders to check out.
