To The Eagle,
The Wahkiakum County Historical Society Museum would like to thank all the volunteers who either hosted visitors and/or did special projects in throughout the 2025 year. Here is the message the WCHS president, Frans Eykel gave at our Annual Membership Meeting on Nov 8, 2025.
“Thank you to the Pioneer Community Association for the use of this beautiful, restored building. We mourn the loss of two significant WCHS members: Beverly (Fritz) Allen Hill and Ralph Keyser. Ralph's fingerprints are in all aspects of the museum property and the collection.”
“Thank you for the completion of a shed that is of archival quality used to store of our historical newspaper collection. This project was spearheaded by David Whitney and Larry Hendrickson with help by Greg Kandoll, Craig Bjorge, Vince Littell, Steve Lefever, and many more.”
“Thank you to the many members for hosting this past season, we hope to see you next year. Last but not least, the ladies doing the newspaper collection digital project and the indexing: Linda Killenbrew, Julie O’Neill and curator Kari Kandoll.”
While we may be closed for the Winter we are involved in several projects during the rest of the year. Please contact Kari Kandoll at 360-849-4353 if you are interested in hosting or doing projects. Training is provided. Again, thank you to all of our hardworking volunteers.
