According to online case information, former Rainier Junior and Senior High School Principal Jeremy Williams will have a judgement and sentencing hearing on Monday, Feb. 23. Online records show on Monday, Jan. 12, a guilty-plea-only hearing was held. A statement of defendant on “plea of guilty” was entered into record, along with a presentence investigation order.
According to definitions supplied by the Federal Courts of the United States, “The pre-sentence report summarizes information gathered during the pre-sentence investigation, including the offense, prior criminal history, social history, applicable advisory Federal Sentencing Guidelines, and victim impact statements.
In the report, the officer provides a sentencing recommendation, which includes an analysis and justification.”
Williams was arrested and booked into the Cowlitz County Jail on Tuesday, Sept. 16, “on charges of Dealing in Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct and Possession of Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.”
The arrest followed numerous referrals in August to Cowlitz County law enforcement from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting incidents related to the trafficking of Child Sexual Assault Material, according to a press release from Wednesday, Sept. 17. Williams was served a search warrant on his residence. This included phones, computers, and digital storage devices for further investigation.
