The Clatskanie Feral Cat Project (CFCP) will be holding its Annual Silent Auction fundraising event at the Clatskanie Legion Hall (930 NE 5th Street) this Saturday, Jan. 31, from 2-4 p.m. Bidding starts at 2 p.m. and closes in three sections, 3:25, 3:35, and 3:45 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this free community event. Donations are plentiful this year, totaling over 60. There will be plenty of local art, baskets, and gift certificates to local businesses. Join the raffle for a $100 gift card to Safeway. Thank you to all the volunteers and our local communities for their generous support and contributions. Join us for some kitty fun and help support the care and health of our local cat communities.
The Clatskanie Feral Cat Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to humanely reducing the feral cat population of Columbia County. All proceeds from this annual event will go directly to the feral cats of Columbia County for medical, spaying, neutering, and TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) expenses. The CFCP has both a kitten-adoption program and a voucher program to help low-income residents of Columbia County spay/neuter their cats through The Columbia Veterinarian Hospital in Astoria. Anyone in need of cat help or information should contact CFCP Director Wendy McDougal at 503-755-2115.
