Celebrate Birthday
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hosley and son of Longview spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Vera Hosley. They celebrated Howard’s birthday.
From Oregon
Mr. and Mrs. Phil Pedersen of Albany, Ore., were weekend houseguests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Verne Dodge.
Daughter Visit
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Davis of Bothell visited for the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Everman.
Attend Wedding
Several local residents attended the wedding of Terry Gorley of Longview, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gorley and Rosalie Kinsey daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kinsey of Longview. The wedding was held at the Calvary Community church Saturday night, Valentine’s Day.
Family Home
Present for the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jacobson were their son and daughter-in-law and grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Jacobson and Mickey of Winlock, their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Johnson of Prosser and their son, Casey.
To Hood River
Mr. and Mrs. Byron Leavens spent last week in Hood River, Ore., where they visited with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Leavens.
Former Resident Dies
Ralph Everest received word on Monday that a friend, John McCoy, died that morning in Astoria. A former Cathlamet resident in the 20’s and 30’s, he operated a bakery where Wright’s Hardware is now located.
Sister Visits
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mullins, sister and brother-in-law of Mrs. Victor Shuley, were Sunday dinner guests at the Shuley home. They celebrated the birthday of Mrs. Mullins.
Wins Drawing
Lynn Deaton, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Deaton, won the large five pound box of Valentine candy at the drawing of the Cathlamet Pharmacy on Saturday. Her mother reports that she was a very happy little girl.
