NICE HOLIDAY--Well, if you didn't have a great Labor Day weekend/holiday, it certainly couldn't have been due to the weather as it was pretty doggone nice. DAMP--As this week begins and the weekend ends, we're seeing some dampness out here in West Valley, which was definitely not in the forecast at least not for a couple more days. However, I'm sure all my plants and my poor dry lawn were happy to see the light misty stuff come down and give it a little drink. CLOUDY START--As this work week begins, it's pretty doggone cloudy out here in West Valley this morning, but it's not all that cold, so it's just right for this non-sun lover! It's pleasant enough to be outside in, but not hot and the wind's not blowing, so it's not nippy, so one of my personally preferred, perfect days! STILL HOT--Well, as this week begins and the weekend ends, it's still plenty toasty out there and I hope you are all being extremely careful about how much heat and sun you're taking in. Of course, it goes without saying that nobody should be left inside a car during these heat waves, as even with the windows down, there is no way a person or an animal can survive, so if you see someone's pet inside a vehicle or worse yet, a person, notify authorities immediately. HOT ONE--Holy cow, we finally had Summer show up with a real vengeance this past weekend and wouldn't you know, the hottest day just happened to be on Saturday when our all-school reunion took place, whew, it was hot! Rarely do we have a day that hot, let alone one with no wind to boot, so while those on the water were sailing along on a river that looked like a sheet of glass, the lack of a breeze just about cooked the rest of us. SO-SO--Well, as this work week began, we've had some clouds and a bit of mist here and there, along with a few lighter clouds which gave us the warm and muggy feeling as well, but is just depended on where you were as to whether you were cloudy and cool, or cloudy and warm. WET--As this work week begins, it's a little more than damp outside in the morning hours, and not exactly the summer type weather we were wishing we'd have by this time of year. MIXED BAG--Well, this past week we've had some great sunny days, with nice warm temperatures, but we've also had some cloudy, windy days along with showers that fell on Sunday morning. SUMMER?--The first true day of Summer wasn't too bad, nor was the next, but then came the weekend and a front moved in with lots of wind beginning on Thursday afternoon, with some rain nailing us on Saturday morning. GREAT ENDING--Last Friday was nothing but sunshine and warm temperatures. It was so nice, it was almost a shock to the system. With sunshine for a few days, it was time to get that outside work done as they said it wasn't going to last too long. BRIEFLY WARMER--As this week began, we'd warmed up a bit from the wet and windy spell we had at the end of last week, so that's been nice. But by Tuesday morning, all was soaking wet again. SO-SO--The big Memorial weekend has come to an end and while it wasn't a total bust for weather, it could have been better. BIG CHANGE--Just as we were getting used to those sunny, dry days, the rains came back and have really put a damper on all those outdoor projects. NICE WEEKEND--Easter weekend was certainly a nice one for all those traveling or enjoying the Easter egg hunts, although we did start Saturday morning in West Valley with a layer of thick, white frost and temps in the upper 20s. WET AND COLD--As the weekend ended, there was still plenty of rain falling and even some snow. A light layer of snow was visible on the hills towards East Valley.
