    Kay Chamberlain, Wah. Co. Eagle|Apr 4, 2013

NICE EASTER--In spite of Easter falling in March this year, and our March weather not really known for being all that great, it just so happened that this year, the Easter weekend was absolutely gorgeous and in some places, sent new records for their temperatures clear into the 80's! I saw lots of pink skin as everyone was sporting shorts and sleeveless tops and soaking up those rays, while they mowed lawns, washed cars or went fishing on the river. It was truly an awesome few days! As of Monday evening however, I felt the light rain begin and...

    Kay Chamberlain, Wah. Co. Eagle|Mar 28, 2013

SPRING?--As this week began and we had some sunshine to enjoy. It was a sharp contrast to last week when Spring officially began and we were looking at snowflakes falling; that was a shocker! I'm so glad it was brief and we got into some nicer weather, which we are thoroughly enjoying, especially since a lot of the mid-western states are still getting hammered with snow and ice and other winter-like conditions, so we are quite fortunate I'd say. • Celebrate St. Patrick's Day this weekend

    Kay Chamberlain, Wah. Co. Eagle|Mar 14, 2013

NICE/THEN WET-- Last week we had a few super sunny days after the morning fog went away here in Skamokawa. I heard lawn mowers going and saws running and hammering going on. Only part of the weekend was good though, as the rain moved in Saturday night and it was a pretty soggy Sunday. My daffodils are just about ready to bloom so I'm hoping that the warmer temperatures make those buds pop open. Unfortunately, it seems like they no sooner bloom and we either have heavy rains that pound them to ground, or a late frost that has them drooping. I’ll...

    Kay Chamberlain, Wah. Co. Eagle|Mar 7, 2013

BRRR—The ground was covered with frost in West Valley on the first two days of this week, but with the sun coming out and shining for most of Monday, it made the cold nights bearable. However, it looks to be a wet one today (Tuesday), so I hope you're all getting to stay in as much as possible or have an umbrella handy! Having this rain isn't nearly as bad as in the Midwest and East Coast, where people are getting slammed with heavy, wet snow. I hope everyone’s family and friends in the storm’s path will stay safe, as it sounds rea...
