Cathlamet resident, Jack A. Sullivan, 86, passed away December 13, 2010 at Columbia View Care Center. He was born May 15, 1924 in Marcus, to Dennis and Sue (Newland) Sullivan. He married Lois King on May 29, 1960 in Portland, Ore. and together they moved to Cathlamet in 1986; she survives him at home. Jack served in the U.S. Army during WWII. The Fairgrounds is ready for winter weather. Everything has been done to protect our Fair properties from the freezing temperatures that destroyed our pipes last year. There is a really distinct climate difference between Skamokawa and Cathlamet. Last week Skamokawa had temperatures in the teens and three inches of snow.
