Qingmei Wang from China has been awarded a fellowship from the U.S. Department of State to participate in the 2015 Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP). Qingmei will teach Chinese for a full academic year at Naselle-Grays River School. The school has participated in a nation-wide competition in order to host a TCLP teacher. Members of the Naselle Comet Track and Field Squad had a good trip to the state Class 1B Track and Field meet at Cheney last week and brought home six medals. To medal, athletes must place eighth or higher in an event. Ellie Chapman placed fifth in the 100m hurdles, 17.7, sixth in the 300m hurdles, 51.91, and third in the high jump, 4'10", to claim three medals. Robert Lowell “Jake” Trimble passed away April 28, 2015 in Olympia, WA. He was born November 15, 1927 in Portland, OR to Robert and Frances Trimble.
