The dates are firmed up and the performers are under contract for the summer Monthly Medley of Music concert series at the Cathlamet Pioneer Church. The dates and performers are as follows:
May 12 at 7:30 p.m., flutist Janet Bowler, a principal with the North Coast Philharmonic will be returning. Also returning is vocalist Laurie Drage who received rave reviews from her last performance at the Church. They will be accompanied by piano and guitar.
June 9 at 7:30 p.m., The Union Tones, a mainstream jazz quartet, will perform. This group performs regularly at the Union Town Cafe in Astoria and some of its members also perform with the North Coast Philharmonic.
July 14, at 7:30 p.m., The Columbia River Brass Quartet from the Southwest Washington Symphonic Orchestra will perform jazz to classical.
August 11 at 7:30 p.m., will be a night of French horn and piano music. Allan Stromquist is the principal on the French horn for the Southwest Washington Symphonic Orchestra. Carol McRae and Marjorie Westman will by playing four hand piano.
September 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Brownsmead Flats. They describe their acoustic music at "Crabgrass", a folk/bluegrass style with an emphasis on vocal harmonies.
50 of the 100 tickets are already committed. Tickets went on sale Sunday at Sargasso Sea on Puget Island and at the Golden Ladder in Cathlamet.
Season ticket price is $50 per person for all five performances. If individual performance tickets are still remaining, they will be on sale two weeks before each event. Individual performance tickets with be $12.50 or $8.50 for students.
