Carol G. Quigley, 91, of Cathlamet passed away at Hospice Care Center in Longview on September 7, 2012. Carol was born on November17,1920 to Robert and Agnes (Peterson) Burch in Astoria, Ore.

She was a lifelong Wahkiakum resident. Carol graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1938 and married Frank Quigley that summer. She worked alongside Frank on the farm and driving logging trucks for their logging business.

Along with raising their sons, she enjoyed travelling, needlework, gardening and taking care of her family. They enjoyed many wonderful family trips together with their children.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Frank, in 2000, son Michael in 1978, a great grandson, as well as her sister Laurice Brinkerhoff. Surviving Carol are two sons and their wives, Bob and Kerry Quigley of Cathlamet, Ron and Liz Quigley of Vancouver, five grandsons and seven great grandchildren.

No service will be held at her request. Carol will be inurned at Greenwood Cemetery. Those wishing to make donations in Carol's name may contribute to The Wahkiakum Historical Society 65 River St., Cathlamet, WA 98612.
