Marcella B. Norris, 71, of Longview, died October 27, 2013, in Longview, while in hospice care. She had been battling a variety of medical issues for some time.

Marcy was born in Bantry, ND on October 29, 1941. She moved to Puyallup when she was 11, and grew up there. She lived in Rosburg from 1983-2003 with husband, Alvin E. Norris, who preceded her in death in 2003. She then moved to Cathlamet where she lived for several years, finally moving to Longview in June 2012.

Marcy enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, family, friends, playing bingo and singing Patsy Cline songs on karaoke night.

She is survived by her two children, Laura H. Blain (Robert), of Grays River, and Troy E. Norris, (Rebecca) of Vancouver; two brothers, Gordon Baker (Sharon) and Glen Baker (Deborah), both of Puyallup; and by five sisters, Phyllis Dills of McKinleyville, Calif., Gladys Jensen (Wes) of East Bethel, MN., Maxine Bol of Everson, Marlene Wilson of Deer River, MN, and Sharon Durbin of Everson; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marcy was preceded in death by twin sons, Bruce and Brian Benefield, one a couple days after birth and the other in 2005, and a third brother, Richard LeRoy Michals in 1938.

Cremation services where provided by Columbia Funeral Home in Longview. Private scattering will be held later.

A memorial service and potluck reception is scheduled for 3 p.m., November 9, at the Valley Bible Church in Rosburg.
