The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

On Tuesday, March 27 at 6 p.m., Wahkiakum Health and Human Services will host an open house at the former Congregational Church building on Maple and 3rd in Cathlamet. Light refreshments will be provided. Please park at the High School. Staff on hand for tours, to answer question and/or concerns about proposed use of the building by our department of Health and Human Services. Hope you can join us!

We have a daily walking group that starts from the community center at 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. Our Walking Group loves to talk so we keep the pace comfortable. On Thursdays each week from 10:30 a.m. – noon we have a free crocheting and knitting class hosted by Sandra Sews – bring in your current projects or come in for a lesson.

This Friday’s movie is Rated PG-13. The story follows Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts as he is informed that a prisoner named Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban intending to kill him. Something wicked this way comes! The movie starts at 7:00 p.m., and popcorn is free. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks.
