Tree Lighting Saturday, Nov. 24

As always, the holiday season is starting to sneak up on us. Never fear, our annual Tree Lighting event will help you get into the holiday spirit!

First, get out of the cold and do some holiday shopping at our vendor fair in Hotel Cathlamet at 3 p.m., while you wait for it to start. Handmade soaps and sock monkeys; Wreaths; Toys. You name it! Our craftiest crafters will be there ready to sell. The vendor spaces are going fast though, so let us know quickly if you would like to be a vendor. At 4:30 sharp make sure you’re at the Courthouse to begin caroling your favorite songs. When we are ready we can light that tree and good ‘ole’ Saint Nick himself will be escorted down Main Street by the Cathlamet Fire Department. Wahkiakum County kids must have been very good this year! Tell him what you really want this year, make some crafts and get your goody bag down at the Community Center. For adults, continue shopping at Hotel Cathlamet (don’t forget those vendors upstairs) and the shops on Main Street with extended hours. Patty Cakes will be serving hot chocolates – make sure to stop in!
