Spill drill

October 10, 2019

Clean Rivers Cooperative and the Maritime Fire & Safety Association conducted an equipment deployment drill of its oil spill response resources last Thursday after launching from the Elochoman Slough Marina in Cathlamet. According to a press release from MFSA, deployment drills are conducted at least twice a year, in order for them to test their ability to respond in different conditions and in different areas along the Lower Columbia River. Each situation allows them to utilize different types of equipment as well. Photo by Diana Zimmerman.
