Wahkiakum has 10th covid-19 case

On Friday, Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services received another positive test result notification for covid-19 in a Wahkiakum County resident, bringing the county’s total to 10.
The individual is symptomatic and in self-quarantine.
The three new cases this week are not believed to be related and there is currently no connection to the daycare or the school. WHHS is working to identify anyone who may have an exposure risk because of contact with the person. Anyone who has been in close contact will be notified by WHHS staff.
The possibility of additional community spread from this individual seems low.
