A youngster joined the crew as volunteers from the Puget Island Fire Department collected donations last weekend to support Doernbecher's Children's Hospital. Volunteers from Cathlamet and Skamokawa fire departments collected $3,487.39 on Main St., Cathlamet; District 4 collected $710.00 in Rosedale, and Puget Island collected $2180.29 at the Birnie Slough bridge.
