Darin L. Dow, 57, of Naselle, died September 27, 2021. He was born in Longview February 24, 1965 to Betty Lou and Daryl Dow. He joined the Air Force after high school in 1984 and spent two years there. He returned to Cathlamet in 1986 and moved to Naselle soon after. He met his wife Charlene Bernard in Naselle and they were married March 13, 1990 in Reno, Nevada.
Darin worked at Naselle Rock and Asphalt as a heavy equipment operator for 15 years before his move to Knife River where he worked until his death.
Darin liked long walks on the beach, exploring trails and spending time camping with friends and family. He enjoyed smoking meats and barbecuing and sharing with his loved ones. Some of his favorite times were collecting rocks for the fountain he built and building flower beds in his backyard.
Darin is survived by his wife Charlene; his dad, Daryl Dow; brothers David and Doug Dow, Brian and Jamie Brons; sisters, Robin Mace, Marsha Helms, Arlita Schlect and Tammy Peterson; his daughters Angila Gaines and Patricia Stanturf, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Darin was preceded in 2021 by his Mom, Betty Brons and in 2020 by his Stepdad, Bob Brons.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hunters Inn Banquet Room in Naselle on Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. Darin’s family welcomes everyone who wishes to join them. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
