To The Eagle:

If you need help with providing Christmas gifts for your children up through the age of 17, please fill out an application or contact our Star Program phone at 360-431-5232. All calls and applications will be handled discreetly. This is a needs-based program.

On Monday, October 31, you may pick up applications either at The Bank of the Pacific in the Star Program mail box in the foyer or Health and Human Services on Elochoman Valley Road. They must be returned to where you picked them up no later than November 22. Stars will be hung by 4:30 p.m. at the businesses on November 23.

We would like to ask the residents of Wahkiakum County to please take stars or monetarily donate. Monetary donations are greatly needed and appreciated to provide for the stars that are not taken so the children in need will have a merry Christmas this year. You may leave donations at The Bank of the Pacific in Cathlamet.

Trees will be up at local businesses from November 23 through December 19. Presents will be ready for pick up from December 19 through December 23.

The trees will be in The Bank of the Pacific, Cathlamet Pharmacy, Scribbles, The Video Store, The Duck Inn and Skamokawa Store.
