Get to the Wahkiakum Mecha Mules Robotics Club car wash this Saturday at the Bank of the Pacific in Cathlamet from 12-5 p.m. to help send the team to the SeaPerch International Underwater Robotics Competition in Maryland this May.

URS Electronics, a Portland distributor of electronic components and products, announced they would match up to $2,500 of the donations made at the car wash, Ron Wright said at the Wahkiakum School Board meeting on Tuesday.

Airfare for the seven member team and coaches will be covered by Wahkiakum School District, but the team is hoping to raise another $12,000 to support the trip, which will include a visit to Washington D.C., as well as other SkillsUSA and FIRST Tech Challenge Competitions.
