Fredrick Charles passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023 in Longview, Wa after a courageous battle with dementia at age 82.

Born in Tacoma, Wa in 1941. Fred had many talents, a master mechanic and a skilled wood craftsman. Among other things, he loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends. Fred was very active in his community, serving as the University Place Lions Club president twice.

Fred and wife Jane retired to the Elochoman valley in 2005, enjoying the beauty the valley gave. He was preceeded in death by parents Gilbert and Alice Charles, Alice Charles/Denison, Jack Denison, wife Jane and brother Tom. Fredrick is survived by brother Les, daughter Kelly, son Gilbert Sr. three grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great grandaughter. Our family would like to thank the heartfelt care of Americana health care staff for the wonderful care and compassion of our father.
