Grange sale, pioneer center music, fair news
STILL SUNNY. Well, if you're a sun and heat lover, I guess you love this weather. The forecast looks warm and sunny too, so I hope you're getting out and enjoying it. I’m one of the people who hide from the sun so I love the morning clouds and the cooler weather after the sun goes down behind our hill. With all the dryness comes extreme fire danger, which is such an easy tragedy to avoid. So please don't be one of "those people" who think they can light campfires and wind up causing massive wildfires in our parks. Please be extremely cautious out there, even hot mufflers from cars and farm equipment can create a grass fire which spreads easily in the wind. If you don’t have an emergency kit in your vehicle, this is a reminder to get one. Maybe we should add a fire extinguisher to the kit, especially with all the car fires lately!

OLYMPICS ANYONE? Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the Paris Olympics are taking place and it has been exciting. From field relay racing to swimming, diving competitions to gymnastics, and everything else, there were thrills and spills along the way to Gold, that's for sure! We were happy for our local Washington and Oregon gals who got medals in gymnastics, Congratulations to Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey. Great job ladies! It was awesome to watch Vancouver native, Ryan Crouser, win gold again in shot put. We send kudos to all the winners and all of those who competed, they've practiced for years and years to get to where they are today and we respect their dedication.
