As the April Reading Challenge approaches, we at the library wish to remind you to get your Reading Challenge booklet turned in to us. Saturday, May 10, will be the official and final Reading Challenge raffle for the awarding of prizes for participants, so please get your booklet turned in for a chance to win. The library would like to thank one and all for participating this year.
Coming soon will be our annual summer reading program, summer adventures and reading challenges. The theme this year is "Color Our World!" Bring the kids ages 0 to 12 or thereabouts. This is a family-friendly summer activity, so get the kids out of the house and enjoy some hands-on library activities. They can watch Sponge Bob later. Our summer reading program will be every Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m., June 26 through Aug. 8. If you have questions, give the library a call at 360-795-3254.
The library has Washington state Discover Passes for no charge. Patrons can check out these passes for free admission to state recreation lands in our beautiful state of Washington, meaning they can visit over 100 developed state parks, some 350 primitive recreation sites, nearly 700 water-access points, 2,000 miles of designated water and land recreation trails, over 80 natural areas, and more than 30 wildlife areas. These passes are limited, so first come, first served. If you have questions, call the library for availability information at 360-795-3254 Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.
