Resident Ronda Lutz named artist of the month

Tsuga Gallery presents its featured artist for the month of June, Ronda Lutz. Ronda is a landscape photographer who prints most of her work on canvas. She feels canvas presents a more "artistic" form of photography and gives it a sense of texture. Ronda loves to showcase the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest and has focused on Wahkiakum County in the last year, saying, "I consider this county a hidden gem of Washington State and love to brag about it through my photos." Her favorite subject matter is landscapes, but she also enjoys photographing wildlife and old buildings.

Ronda is a kindergarten teacher during the school year and loves to be outdoors when out of school, whether it be hiking, camping, or working in her garden. Fairly new to Wahkiakum County, she has lived in Cathlamet with her husband, Will and her dog, "Storm" since 2021. She is also part of the local "Wahkiakum County Photography Club" and enjoys taking field trips with the group. You may also see her around town hanging out with the local fire/EMS crew where her husband volunteers as a Captain for the Cathlamet Fire Department. Stop by Tsuga Gallery and check out her artistic photography and note cards. Located at 70 Main Street, Cathlamet, WA. Tsuga Gallery is a non-profit art co-op founded by the late Janet Kerstetter Cimino in 2011. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
