June 9 7:55 a.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance transported a Skamokawa resident to the hospital due to breathing difficulties. 9:15 a.m. A caller at Skamokawa Vista Park requested a welfare check on a camper staying at the park. 9:33 a.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was having a low blood sugar episode. 1:19 p.m. An elderly person was transported to the hospital after falling in a Cathlamet business and suffering a head injury. 3:48 p.m. A concerned citizen on SR4 called to report an individual who was walking back and forth on the highway and seemed like they may need help. When deputies made contact with the individual, they refused any kind of help or medical attention. 8:34 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of intoxicated campers at the Elochoman Valley Marina who had reportedly been causing problems for three days. Deputies made contact with individuals who appeared extremely intoxicated and became confrontational with officers, and one flashed their genitalia in the direction of a deputy.
June 10 11:08 a.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that their firearm had been stolen from their residence and believes they came in through the bedroom window, but could not be sure on the timeline as the owner had not checked on the firearm in a while. 2:39 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a missing student from a field trip at Skamokawa Vista Park. The student went missing in a game of hide and seek and was found on the bus by a deputy, healthy and uninjured. 9:03 p.m. A caller reported what they believed to be a possible drunk driver on SR4 westbound. The caller reported that the vehicle had crossed the yellow line several times and was driving erratically.
June 11 11:21 a.m. A Skamokawa Resident reported hearing what they described as automatic gunfire nearby. Deputies went out to investigate the sounds and discovered the gunfire was coming from the nearby range. 6:34 p.m. A Grays River resident called to report that an individual known to them stole collectible sports cards, estimated to be worth a total of $36,000, from an RV they were staying in. The suspect allegedly admitted to taking them and did not give them back after they promised they would. 8:49 p.m. Several drivers called to report a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the Transfer Station on KM Mountain. 10:37 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that a large dog on a neighboring property had been barking for the last two nights. 10:42 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was having heart troubles.
June 12 4:15 a.m. A Puget Island resident called to report that the same barking dog had woken them up and wanted it to be recorded. 7:32 a.m. A driver on SR4 called to report a stalled vehicle with flashers in the westbound lane past Flandersville. 9:12 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported that their neighbor’s dog was getting out of the yard and that the dog “gets out every day.” 2:56 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that they had just witnessed one of their family members assault another family member. When deputies made contact with the alleged victim, they and a witness said the altercation was verbal only. 2:58 p.m. The Grays River Fire Department responded to assist a resident of Grays River who had fainted. 4:31 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident called to report that a pest control salesperson had driven down their driveway and was in their backyard. When the resident asked why the salesperson was there, the salesperson asked if the resident wanted to ride their Segway. Deputies made contact with the individual and confirmed that the company is legitimate. 7:22 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who was experiencing dizziness, nausea and confusion. 9:12 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report a “Pest control guy bugging people.” Due to the volume of calls indicating odd behavior and the late hours, deputies contacted the business directly.
June 13 6:03 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to report a stray dog had shown up at their residence. The owner was located nearby, and the animal was returned. 7:18 p.m. Several Cathlamet residents called to complain about a pest control salesperson on Cougar Ridge Road, where the salesperson allegedly entered onto property that had several “no soliciting” and “no trespassing” signs and had to be asked several times to leave. Another resident reported that the salesperson was banging on the walls of their house and had also made a vulgar gesture at a neighbor. The resident requested deputies formally trespass the salesperson from their property. 7:42 p.m. A driver in Skamokawa called to report that their vehicle went into the ditch on a logging road off of Oatfield and they would be called a tow truck and just wanted to the let the Sheriff’s office know.
June 14 10:09 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident called to report that a pest control individual was told to leave repeatedly after passing multiple no trespassing signs and would not leave their property for an extended period. 1:27 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported a deer that had been coming onto their property and eating their blueberries; the caller believes the animal may be someone’s pet. 1:35 p.m. on SR4 W, a half mile from Skamokawa, a caller stated that their trailer got a flat tire and they would be leaving it there to go and get a new one, and wanted the county to know. 1:53 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist a Skamokawa resident experiencing a seizure. 3:04 p.m. Grays River Ambulance and Sheriff’s deputies responded to a traffic accident between a car and a deer. 9:17 p.m. A Greenwood resident called to report that an individual who was selling pest control services had banged on their door heavily.
June 15 2:27 a.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that two people were robbing the apartment next door to them. When deputies entered the apartment in question, they found it empty and undisturbed. 6:11 a.m. LifeFlight took a Cathlamet resident to the hospital for severe chest pains. 11:19 a.m. An Elochoman Valley Resident called to report that a camper on the dike was dragging boats up and down the dike and causing damage. The resident was worried that damage would cause flooding and questioned whether the camper had permission to be there in the first place. 12:10 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported that they had video footage of an individual against whom they had previously obtained no-contact orders for trespassing on their property. Sheriff’s deputies advised the resident to renew the protection order. 1:45 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to report that their ex-spouse left their door unlocked, and one of the ex-spouse’s friends entered without permission and stole the resident’s firearm. 8:40 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle towing a boat with no license plates leaving Skamokawa Vista Park. 10:57 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of two individuals walking on Jacobson Road with a wheelbarrow and what the caller described as construction equipment.
