Sandra Peterson Davis, 76, of Cathlamet, died on June 14. She was born to Arthur "Skamokawa Pete" and Lois ( Clauson) Peterson on April 20, 1949 in Cathlamet. She grew up in Skamokawa, graduating from Wahkiakum High School in 1967. She worked as a cook, and bartender in Skamokawa, Astoria, and Tacoma over her young life. She later returned to Cathlamet where she loved the Columbia River and her life there. Sandra designed and built her dream home above the river where she lived for the last 21 years. She married Doc Davis in 2001. They enjoyed travelling the country in their RV. She had a passion for travel and had made trips around the world. Sandra enjoyed her homes in Palm Springs and Mexico over the years. She had created a large extended family, and her life was full and well lived. She loved to cook and entertain. Sandra had a generous spirit and loved helping people in her own way. She is survived by her nephew, John Peterson and his wife, Sherra of Kodiak, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doc, her parents and her brother, John Peterson. She leaves behind many friends and will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at The Bridge Church on Puget Island Thursday, June 26 at 2 p.m. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
